Turkish warplanes are striking villages in the Shahba region that are held by Jaysh al-Thuwar, an armed coalition that is part of the Syrian Democratic Forces, reports say.
Turkish warplanes reportedly began bombing the villages of Um al-Hawsh, Um Al-Qurah and Al-Hasiya in the northern Aleppo countryside on Wednesday night.
The bombing comes after the advance of Jaysh al-Thuwar on five villages and two hamlets in the Shahba region that were captured from Isis on Wednesday morning.
Jaysh al-Thuwar forces also captured the Shahba dam, situated 18km from Isis-held al-Bab.
Both villages in the town of Marea were captured by Jaysh al-Thuwar on August 30.
